Japanese Apostille Service – Ministry of Foreign Affairs
We arrange an apostille (アポスティーユ) from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for eligible Japanese public documents intended for use abroad.
An apostille certifies the authenticity of the official seal or signature appearing on a Japanese public document so that it can be used in a country or region applying the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention.
This service may be used for documents such as:
family register certificates (戸籍謄本・戸籍抄本);
certificates of residence (住民票);
company registry certificates (登記事項証明書);
real estate registry certificates (不動産登記事項証明書); and
other eligible documents issued by Japanese public authorities.
Whether an apostille is the correct form of authentication depends on the country in which the document will be submitted and the requirements of the receiving authority.
