REAL ESTATE IN JAPAN
We assist with the collection and preparation of the inheritance documents required for real estate located in Japan.
Inheritance registration and other real estate registration procedures are handled in coordination with LPA Judicial Scrivener Office. We assist with the underlying inheritance documentation, including family registers, heir confirmation, inheritance division agreements and powers of attorney.
Where heirs reside outside Japan, we can also coordinate the execution of the required documents overseas.
REAL ESTATE IN FRANCE
Where the estate includes real estate located in France, we coordinate with a French notary regarding the applicable succession and property formalities.
We assist with obtaining and preparing the Japanese documents required for the French procedure, including family and civil-status records, inheritance documents, translations and powers of attorney.
Where the heirs intend to sell the property, we can also liaise with the notary, real estate agent, bank and other relevant professionals throughout the sale process, including the coordination of the documents required for completion and the subsequent payment or transfer of the sale proceeds to the heirs.
